JOHN RHODES COMMUNITY CENTER
Home Of The SOO THUNDERBIRDS
The 2004/2005 NOJHL season will see the Soo Thunderbirds continue to play at the John Rhodes Community Centre on a full-time basis.
After 3 years of practicing at the JRCC while playing their home games at the Sault Memorial Gardens, team officials opted to bring the team back to it's dedicated facility for 100% of it's events one season ago.
The six-year old John Rhodes Community Centre is the lone multi-purpose sports facility in Sault Ste. Marie and has been the Thunderbirds home since their inception in the NOJHL back in 1999.
Located here is the Thunderbirds dedicated dressing room and training facilities.
In addition the complex includes a community pool, gymnastics club, full service restaurant, football fields and running tracks.
The 2004/2005 season may see the Thunderbird organization continue to make improvements for the fans and team on the ice-pad used for their NOJHL games.
